Orientation was fun, guys! Wish you could have been there. No one from my school was... Well, Chanel. But I only saw her on the last day. She said "Amber!" at Breakfast and I looked over. Didn't know that she knew my name. Anyway, this is going to be lengthy, so if you don't want to read it, don't. But if you do read it, let me know that my work was appreciated.
So I met some people who will be in my dorm. That was cool. And I met Grace, a girl from Maryland. We clicked, so I hope I get to see her when we go back to school. She's in Rather, like me. Oh, we had these fun info meetings. Nothing you all care about. You want to know my schedule! Haha. We'll get to that. That was on day two. I'm only on day one.
I found out that as a student of the college of Arts and Letters, I have to have two years of a language. Four semesters. So, I had to think of a language. To take German I had to take a placement test, and I was in no mood for remembering that, so I began to think of new things...
Oh, and State has awesome classes. If I can schedule earlier next year, I know exactly what I want to take. ;D
So that night, I went to my dorm. It was still empty! I had thought that my roommate just was later than me. Which was reasonable considering I was really early. But nope. I had no roomate. It took away from the experiance, but was also good because I think I might have humiliated myself in front of her. See, I was afraid to sleep on the top bunk. I had to crash on the couch. Tehe... (Oh, by the way. Rather's dorms are soooo much bigger than I thought. Bigger than most of the campus.
Next morning, I did Academic advising and then got my schedule. Here it is:
-Literatures, Cultures, Identies
-Applications of Environmental and Organismal Biology
-Biology Lab
-Understanding Music
-Elementary Latin 1
Well, the music class will change. That was supposed to be my Religious studies class, but they were all filled. I'm thinking of hanging out at a class and waiting for drops. Even my backup (a philosophy class) was filled. Latin... haha... I wanted Greek, but it was filled, and I decided Latin would be cool too. Plus, if I go for a degree in Classical Studies, I need a year in one language and two in another. Greek can be my one year. TC was always telling me I needed Latin...
Ugh. Bio. That'll be just great. Bleagh.
